TaDa

Ta Da! I'm baaack!! Hello out there . . . . . . . anyone there???? Oh yes, that's right I'm writing myself. I've lost all my readership due to inactivity. Oh well, at least I can enjoy the music.
Check back if anyone is out there. I might get back on this sight before another year passes.

Peek-A-Boo

I'm still alive and kicking - just too lazy to maintain this blog. This week we are busy with Vacation Bible School at our church. I am teaching my daughter's class. I am fortunate in that I got a sweet group of kids. My other great fortune is that my son is doing fine in the nursery for nearly 4 hours each day! Who would have thought - given the way this school year started, that he would adjust so well? I guess my little boy is growing up.
As for my daughter, I am trying to keep her doing school work so that she doesn't lose anything, without making her miserable. She does at least one kind of small worksheet each day, and we have been reading books from the summer book list. We have been to the library, checked out a gaggle of books, and are already about half-way through the stack (of course they're all picture books).
Anyhow that what's going on right now for those of you who haven't completely given up on me.

Hiatus

Sorry I have been lacking in my postings. I wish I could tell you that it's because we've been away on an exotic vacation for Spring Break, but . . . . . . NOT!
We did however, get a quick 3-day getaway to North Georgia. My friend's family has a house there, and she and I met there with the kids. We had a good time and had beautiful weather. We took the kids horse-back riding. It was an hour long trail ride through the mountains. The scenery was gorgeous! My sweet little girl rode on her own horse the whole way and looked so grown up. She handled her horse like a champ and there were parts of the trail that were quite treacherous. I was so proud of her. Now she wants a horse of her own. Isn't that what every little girl wants though?

Here Comes the Bride

Most girls like to play dress up. Well, my daughter has to take it to the nth degree. She wanted a wedding dress. She has been asking her grandmother to make her one, which she was actually going to do at much expense. As luck would have it, while out shopping the other day, my mom and I found the "perfect" wedding gown for her in her size. It is gorgeous - lace, beading, satin buttons down the back, and complete with train. My mom made her a veil to go with it and gave it all to her for Easter. She looked so precious all dressed up like a bride with a missing front tooth. I think her daddy and grandfather had mixed emotions seeing her dressed like that!

Here comes the bride . . . .

My Daughter Plays Soccer

My daughter had her first soccer game this weekend. Even though she was a bit nervous, she did a great job! She played one quarter as goalie and one as a forward. She gave it her best. They played one of the top teams and still managed to pull out a tie - great start!

Happy Easter

Hi Everyone!
The Easter Bunny just got finished putting out baskets and hiding eggs, so I am getting ready to go to bed. I just wanted to get online quickly and wish everyone a happy Easter! I hope everyone gets to spend a nice day with their families. I will try to post some Easter pictures next week.
