Here Comes the Bride

Most girls like to play dress up. Well, my daughter has to take it to the nth degree. She wanted a wedding dress. She has been asking her grandmother to make her one, which she was actually going to do at much expense. As luck would have it, while out shopping the other day, my mom and I found the "perfect" wedding gown for her in her size. It is gorgeous - lace, beading, satin buttons down the back, and complete with train. My mom made her a veil to go with it and gave it all to her for Easter. She looked so precious all dressed up like a bride with a missing front tooth. I think her daddy and grandfather had mixed emotions seeing her dressed like that!

Here comes the bride . . . .

My Daughter Plays Soccer

My daughter had her first soccer game this weekend. Even though she was a bit nervous, she did a great job! She played one quarter as goalie and one as a forward. She gave it her best. They played one of the top teams and still managed to pull out a tie - great start!

Happy Easter

Hi Everyone!
The Easter Bunny just got finished putting out baskets and hiding eggs, so I am getting ready to go to bed. I just wanted to get online quickly and wish everyone a happy Easter! I hope everyone gets to spend a nice day with their families. I will try to post some Easter pictures next week.

More useless info to share

Continuing from my previous post . . .

We have 2 pets - Logan, our Rottweiler (picture on sidebar) and DD BooBoo, my daughter's cat
I have always wanted a pet pig named Petunia.

Favorite music: I like lots of music, but my radio is usually turned to the 80's station or New Country.

TV shows I enjoy watching (not that I get to all the time): Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy, Friday Night Lights, Brothers & Sisters, October Road, and I'm taking a season off from CSI & Cold Case.

Movies that I have watched multiple times: Shawshank Redemption (I love Morgan Freeman's narrative in this movie), St. Elmo's Fire, Hope Floats & Moulin Rouge (mostly for the music), and of course, all the Disney and Pixar movies.

TTFN - will continue with more later. The two year old beckons!

One of those Emails

I know you've all gotten them - one of those emails from a friend who divulges a bunch of information about themselves. Then you are supposed to change all of the answers to fit you and send it on. One of the questions on these emails is usually something like "who is least/most likely to complete this email?" Well, although I've never made anyone's list, it's usually me who doesn't participate. I mean honestly, do people really care what odd jobs I've worked, or what my favorite color is? Probably not. However, I do enjoy reading them from others. Sometimes I even learn something about people I thought I knew most everything about.
So, despite my lack of response to these types of emails, I will use the next few posts to address some of these questions.
I will start with the most mundane.

My favorite color is orange.

My favorite foods are chocolate and pasta.

My favorite place to go on vacation in St. Thomas, VI. (or as long as I'm on the ocean)

Some places I would like to tavel to are: Greece, Spain, Australia, Italy

Some jobs I have had are: teacher (grades 1-5), in a tuxedo shop (no, I didn't measure inseams), as a retail sales person in a department store, and as a hostess and hostess trainer in a restaurant.

I will stop for now. I will continue with more things you're "dying to know" (haha) in my next post.

I just noticed

If you have read my earlier posts, then you might remember me talking about my husband and I ripping the wood floors out of our kitchen and laying tile instead. I just noticed that in the pictures I included on my son asleep at the table you can see the new tile floor (if you're interested.)
